The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honour, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status." — Sahih Muslim 2588

Donate to the Masjid Expansion Project and the New Imam’s House

Islamic Center of Chico has always been proud of helping the community and keeping our masjid maintained and open to the public. Your donation will go toward the Masjid Expansion Project. Invest in the future of our children where we have more space for Sunday school and plan for future classes.

In addition, by providing housing accommodations alongside the Imam's residence, the mosque not only addresses the practical needs of its community but also exemplifies the concept of sustenance (rizq) bestowed by Allah. Through the rental income generated, the mosque achieves financial stability, aligning with the Islamic principles of prudent resource management and sustainability. This stability allows the mosque to allocate resources towards fulfilling its sacred obligations, such as facilitating worship, promoting education, and supporting charitable endeavors.

Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him, you will be returned. (The Holy Quran, 2:245)

“The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give Zakah and do not fear except Allah, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided.,” - Sūrat At-Tawbah (The Repentance) 9:18

The Prophet, on him be peace, famously said:

“When a human being dies, all one’s deeds cease, save three: a Sadaqah Jariyah, [religious] knowledge [one leaves behind] from which others benefit, and a righteous child who prays for one” (Muslim).

He also said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim].

The Prophet ﷺ was asked, "Which charity is the most beloved to Allah?"

He replied, "The charity that is given from the hard-earned money of he who has very little money. And begin by giving charity to those who depend on you" [Reported by Abū Dawūd].
